Paco Knöller

Born in Obermarchtal, Germany, in 1950, Paco Knöller went on to study alongside Joseph Beuys at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.

Knöller has become on of Germany's most renowned painters and has had many notable shows across the country, including the Sprengel Museum, Hannover (1977), the Nationalgalerie in Berlin (1988), Berlin's Hamburger Bahnhof (2002), and the Kunsthalle Bremen (2004).

The artist lives and works in Berlin. He was professor at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen between 2001 and 2013.
